Shella Neighbourhood

Shella neighbourhood stretches about one kilometre from the beach on the Indian ocean. Shella is a neighbourhood that exhibits the rich history of Arab, Asian and Portuguese influence.

Malindi Town dates back to the late thirteenth history, where the town was ruled as inhabited most by Arabs along the coast and native Giriama as you head out into the interior.

Many tourist Attractions are close by. These include Vasco da Gama pillar, the Portuguese Chapel, the House of Columns, Malindi Pier, Malindi Museum Complex and Prince Henry the Navigator monument.
