Strawberry and Banana Smoothie

Strawberry and Banana smoothies are a cold and sweet drink normally made of blending strawberries, milk, and bananas. A banana berry-rich breakfast is not only a nutritional powerhouse but also plays a role in boosting metabolism playing a role in maintaining weight hence weight loss.

However, just because you are drinking a Strawberry and banana smoothie that has been made of different kinds of fruits rich of vitamins and other nutrients, this does not automatically means that they are low in calories or good for you. Most of them might be high in calories due to the carbohydrates and sugars in them.

Ingredients

  1. 2 bananas peeled
  2. 1 packet strawberries
  3. 500ml Vanilla yoghurt
  4. whipped cream (optional for garnish)

Method

Cut the bananas into slices and put in the blender, wash the strawberries well. We will keep a few whole aside for the garnish.

Remove the remaining top part(leaves). cut into halves then put in the blender. Pour into the blender ice cold vanilla yoghurt and blend all together to a smooth consistency.

serve in a tall glass. Pipe some whipped cream on top and finish off with a whole strawberry on the side for presentation purpose.
