Services available at our Marie Stopes Kenya clinics
Long-acting reversible contraceptives
There are now a number of long-acting reversible contraceptives available, such as the implant and the intrauterine device (IUD), which is also known as a coil. The effectiveness of these methods of birth control can be maintained for years, and they require little or no effort to use effectively. As far as a woman’s health is concerned, they are generally safe and have no negative effects on her.
Permanent family planning methods
It is imperative to note that permanent family planning methods are irreversible methods of family planning. At Marie Stopes Kenya, we offer vasectomy and tubal ligation procedures to our patients as part of irreversible methods of family planning. Is there a possibility that you already have exactly how many children you have always wanted, or maybe you have decided you do not want to have children at all? This may be the right method for you if you are certain that you are no longer interested in making babies in the foreseeable future
Post-abortion care
In line with the Kenyan laws, Marie Stopes offers a wide range of services, including pregnancy crisis counselling, post-abortion care, and safe abortion services.
Unplanned pregnancies, or the suspicion that an unplanned pregnancy may be on the horizon, can be frightening and overwhelming. There may be times when you feel fearful, worried, or even alone. It is Marie Stope’s responsibility to make sure you have access to someone who can assist you in your time of need.
Contraceptive check-ups
There is a check-up program offered by Marie Stopes for clients who have received birth control methods either permanently or long-term.
When you start taking a birth control method or if you have any questions at all regarding the method, we highly encourage you to schedule an appointment with Marie Stopes as it will be recommended and scheduled at the time.
Contraceptive change or removal
Marie Stopes has mobile clinics all over the country where you can change or remove your implant or IUD. The implant or IUD may need to be removed at some point in the future, either because it has expired or you want to have another child. You can get help with that from Marie Stopes. The process of removing an implant is usually much easier, less painful, and quicker than the process of putting it in.
what to expect at the Marie Stopes Kenya clinics
There is no requirement for referral as all Marie Stopes Kenya clinics are self-referrals. We can either be booked by calling 0800 720005 or if you prefer you can walk in and make your own appointment.
The first thing you will need to do is to register your details at the reception with a support worker. As soon as they have discussed with you how Marie Stopes can help you, they will link you up with a doctor or nurse who will be able to help you. There is a friendly and professional atmosphere among the service providers at Marie Stopes.
If you are in need of counseling, they are there to offer you a safe space to discuss anything that may have happened to you or be troubling you. The services offered by Marie Stopes Kenya are very affordable and can be accessed by anyone. In some clinics, Marie Stope is also able to accept cards from the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).

what to expect at the Mobile outreach clinics
Mobile outreach clinics provide services in a comfortable client-centered environment with a focus on the holistic wellness of the clients. Each mobile outreach team consists of nurses with a range of skills, a care assistant, and a doctor who are physically present at each location to offer permanent family planning methods, such as tubal ligation, if necessary. We will serve you from the government or private facility selected for service provision on the day of your visit.
