Malindi Pier

The Malindi Pier is an iconic landmark in not only Malindi Town, but the whole of the East African Coast. It is one of the longest piers in the region. Many people coming to Malindi have to visit the place at least once. For residents, it is a family hangout place every weekend.

What to do at the Malindi Pier

The Malindi pier stands in the middle of the Northern Beach (Golden Beach), popularly known as Buntwani. This is a pristine golden beach owing to influence coming from the nearby Sabaki River. It is a nice spot for swimming. Most people tend to come early in the morning and late in the afternoon.

It is during these hours that you will find locals playing beach football. These beaches have nurtured Malindi best football talents over the years.
